**Updated**
I’ve been recently re-introduced to Vision Forum and their material. While I’ve really appreciated a lot of their material, what we listened to yesterday was the most ill-informed and anti-Semetic teaching I think I have ever heard. So we discussed the simple fact that we have to sift through everything, test it against the Scriptures and throw out the chaff. This was part of what turned me off from these materials several years ago – it’s so steeped in Supersessionism/Replacement Theology.
HOWEVER, I’m still enjoying some of their family related material.
Still, I’m baffled. In some of the audio teachings and books I’ve gleaned from in recent weeks I keep coming across the teaching that “God’s law is good” and that we need to “abide by the law of God.” ?? So this leads me to my question:
How do they (those who are steeped in Supersessionism/Replacement Theology) define God’s law? What part(s) of His instructions (Torah) and commands (laws) are considered applicable by those who teach adhering to the Law of God yet are so blatantly anti-Torah? Any insight would help quiet my confused little mind.

I have officially distanced myself from VF teachings on my blog. I too agree with some of their family related materials, but I cannot get over their promotion and exaltation of Robert Dabney. Dabney’s writings are clearly racist. Perhaps Doug Phillips is sifting through Dabney’s writing and throwing out the chaff, but he has never come out and disclaimed any of Dabney’s thoughts. I also feel that VF political stance is Dominionist. I don’t see any biblical support that the church should be transforming the culture through govermental interventions (and I have a big desire to have the government out of my personal life)… we are to be changing the world one heart at a time.
Good question. I’ll be watching for the answer!

I have not heard of Dabney. It has been several years since I’ve opted to look at the VF materials as I was turned off to their materials for a few reasons quite a while ago. But when a friend loaned me a few audio teachings to listen to, I was thrilled and impressed. Then when I read a book that they published, “So Much More”, I was again very excited and impressed! I opted to listen to a few more audio teachings when it was like being hit between the eyes with a bat – such ignorance, hatred and well – I don’t know what other word to use so I won’t use any. The whole government intervention malarky doesn’t jive with us either. There is a place for righteous people to be involved – yes. But there’s a line to be drawn between transformation being a personal one and transformation being a national one. One will come if the other comes first and is genuine, not merely apparent. We have enough apparent as it is…

I’m watching too. But I think I have a better grasp of how one can be so supersessionist and yet preach the Law. It completely baffled us for a while but I think that we’re grasping the concept. Still, I’m not sure how they define “the Law” and what parts they consider “valid for them today”.

I have enjoyed some of VF’s family cd’s also and am just so curious as to what product you are talking about!
Now that I have been awakened to the Hebraic roots of my faith, I am seeing anti-Semitism everywhere (never noticed it before). Its really amazing! Astoundingly amazing! This great deception is everywhere.
Hang in there, I enjoy your blog!
