When we built our home I was thrilled to have a computer nook in the kitchen area. I was really looking forward to having my computer in the part of the house that the rest of the family was in. But then I realized that I had two computers - one for me and one for the kids. The kids’ computer was what went into the kitchen computer nook area. However in the past 6 to 9 months the kids haven’t been using the computer so I decided to put it in the attic (till I know what else to do with it) and move my computer out of the office and into the kitchen. What a thrill this has been for me!

Let me explain why I’m so excited. Having a dial-up connection makes listening to audio files rather frustrating. When the computer was in the office, I didn’t want to spend more time in there than was necessary so I could be with my family. So I never bothered with anything that required a long download. No big deal.

But two weeks ago I was able to load a few audio files and listen to some teachings while I cleaned the kitchen and made our Challah. Oh my goodness! I was so blessed, I was almost in tears. Now that may sound silly to some of my readers but understand that we are without a congregation at this point. Hearing these sermons/teachings was so wonderful for me that it was the blessing I chose to share with the family on Shabbat (everyone shares at least one blessing with the family on Shabbat and we toast to their good news or blessing). Not only was I grateful for this but the rest of the family was as well. We spent Shabbat listening to various teachings and discussing them together.

So I have added a section with links for some audio teachings that we listened to. I hope that they are helpful resources for my readers. They sure were a pleasure for our family to find!
